Rata and the Totara Tree Art

Room 5 explored koru art and maori designs before reading the story of Rata and the Totara Tree. 

We discovered that just like the birds and insects in the story Room 5 have worked together this year and just like Rata we have learnt to respect our environment and each other. 

So... we created some spectacular art and student led conference invitations to share the fantastic skills we have learnt this year...

Chalize Visited Room 5 Today!

Chalize, from Room 9, did such fabulous work in her poem book today that her teacher let her share her work with another class. Room 5 were very privileged to be this chosen class. 

Room 5 had lots of positive comments for Chalize!
